Procedure to discharge the Battery on the MVP-5200i and MVP- 5100/5150 series wireless touch panels 

To discharge a MVP-5200i or MVP-5100/5150 panel, you will first need to get into the “Setup” page of the
touch panel. To accomplish this you will need to press and hold the Setup Page Access button on the
respective panel for 3-5 seconds. The Setup Page Access Button is located in the center of the control
wheel on the upper right hand side of the MVP-5200i touch panel (Figure A). The Setup Page Access
button is a recessed button located on the left hand side of the bottom of the MVP-5100/5150 series
touch panel (Figure B).The MVP stylus will be needed to press the recessed button on the MVP-
5100/5150 series touch panels.

Step 1.) Display Timeout Setting

Once the “Setup” page is displayed, a box labeled “Display Timeout” will be located in the upper right
hand corner of the display screen (Figure C). Use the down arrow in this box to select the value of “None”
or “0”.

Step 2.) Panel Shutdown Setting
On the left side of the “Setup” page, select the “Battery” button to access the “Battery Settings” page.
Once the “Battery Settings” page is displayed, a box labeled “Panel Shutdown” will be located in the left
side of the display screen (Figure D). Use the down arrow in this box to select the value of “None” or “0”.

Step 3.) Save settings and finish
Select the “Back” button on the “Battery Settings” page to return to the “Setup” page. Next, select the
“Exit” button on the “Setup” page to save your changes. Place the MVP panel on a secure surface (not in
a wall charging or table charging station). Do not connect a power supply to the panel. When the battery
is discharged, the unit will shut down and the display will blank. Depending on the charge level of the
battery, the unit may take up to 11 hours to fully discharge.
