RMS Essentials

This course introduces the primary functions of the RMS system, and prepares you for RMS certification courses.

RMS Configuration & Programming

By the end of this 3-day course you will be able to install the RMS software on a server, understand the networking requirements and how to work with IT, modify AMX code to work with the software, and prepare the software for the end user.

Objectives
  • Identify key features in the RMS software
  • Identify networking requirements for the software
  • Understand the importance of working with IT and what they will need to share
  • Install the RMS software on a server using the install wizard
  • Configure email and pager accounts
  • Configure security for multiple users
  • Use the programming spreadsheet to modify the control code for the project
  • Use ConnectLinx
Prerequisites
  • Online Prerequisites: Getting Started with AMX Quiz and Intro to Networking for AV Professionals
  • Classroom Prerequisites: Programmer I, Programmer II
  • Certification Prerequisites: ACE Programmer

RMS Certification Exam

This is the final project for the RMS course and consists of a written and a practical exam. It must be completed successfully to earn ACE RMS Expert certification.
